PROJECT: CCTV AND ACCESS CONTROL SYSTEM UPGRADES AT WICKLOW AND ARKLOW PORTS
REQUIREMENTS: TO PROVIDE DESIGN AND CONSULTANCY FOR THE UPGRADE OF EXISTING CCTV AND ACCESS CONTROL SYSTEMS

J&N Security Consultants Ltd. were engaged by Wicklow County Council (WCC) in January 2024 to provide design and consultancy services for the upgrade of the existing Wicklow and Arklow Port CCTV systems, for the provision of a fibre network at Wicklow Port on which the CCTV system would operate, and for the installation of access control and automation on gates and doors at both Wicklow and Arklow Ports.

Initial consultations with Harbour management have been undertaken and survey work has commenced on site in late January 2024.  Design development concluded in late 2024 with tender documentation being circulated in early 2025.   Following tender evaluation and subsequent award of contract, installation works are to commence in August 2025 following completing of civil and electrical enabling works on site.

J&N Security Consultants Ltd. have been retained to project manage the installation process to sign off and handover.
