
NEW ROSS CASE STUDY

CLIENT: WEXFORD COUNTY COUNCIL
PROJECT: TOWN CENTRE CCTV SYSTEM FOR NEW ROSS
REQUIREMENTS: TO DESIGN AND DELIVER A CCTV SYSTEM WITH WIRELESS BACK-LINK
J&N Security Consultants Ltd. were engaged by Wexford County Council (WCC) to prepare a system design for a new Town Centre CCTV System in New Ross. This required the installation of CCTV in both in the Town Centre and in a number of areas outside of the Town Centre with all cameras being connected via a wireless transmission system to a CCTV server installed at Wexford County Council offices in New Ross and a wireless back-link to New Ross Garda Station.
J&N Security Consultants Ltd. managed the process from inception through to a conclusion in 2025. The process involved carrying out initial survey and mapping works, preparing a report and costings, preparation of the application to the Garda Commissioner under Section 38 Garda Siochana Act 2005 for authorisation for the system, preparation of tender documentation for WCC, provided a tender evaluation report following submission of tenders and following award of contract, project management of the installation process to sign off and handover.
Wexford County Council have further retained J&N Security Consultants Ltd. to prepare a design for the New Ross Phase 2 CCTV system which will encompass additional areas in the Town Centre and locations along the South East Greenway adjacent to the Town. Initial works on the Phase 2 project commenced in early 2025 and involves liaison with Wexford County Council Special Projects Office and the appointed Greenway Design Consultants.
