Case Study A

The Cliffs of Moher is one of Irelands leading Tourist attractions which is visited by over 1.6 million visitors annually.

Given the harsh enviornment at the site, the objective was to design a marine proof CCTV system to cover all internal and external areas of the site. The location is a very challenging marine environment on the Wild Atlantic Way on the west coast of Ireland.

The requirement was to provide a new CCTV system operating on a single platform consisting of internal and external cameras, covering the Visitor Centre, external walkways, car parks and the bus park with all cameras linked to the CCTV Server by means of a fibre network.

It was also a requirement that all cameras would be linked to a Monitoring Centre where after hours activity would be detected and an operator will intervene, issuing live audio challenges.  The system install was completed in late 2020 and is now live on site .
